1)Mobile disassembly alarm function 
When the gas meter moves or shakes a lot, the gas meter will send out an audible and visual alarm, close the valve and report the fault to the management system of the gas company, completely preventing the gas users from disassembling the meter and stealing gas.

2)Valve opening protection function
When the valve of gas meter is closed due to insufficient residual quantity and other faults, the meter has the function of opening and opening valve protection, that is to say, the meter valve can only be opened under manual intervention. After recharging and clearing the corresponding faults, you need to press the "query" button to activate and open the meter valve. The purpose of this design is to carry out manual protection intervention on the valve opening action of gas meter on the premise of confirming safety, so as to avoid uncontrollable situation.
 
3)Dual power supply technology
The dual power supply scheme of built-in long-term lithium battery (with a service life of more than 10 years) and external dry battery is adopted. The two power supplies are automatically switched to ensure the reading of data state and the control of valve of gas meter without external power or when the external dry battery is insufficient.
 
4)Second management channel function
The second management channel refers to the information transmission channel which manages the meters through other data transmission modes in addition to its own GPRS data communication management function. In addition to communication management through GPRS data, this series of Internet of things meters can also set parameters and control valves through infrared and Bluetooth second channel management equipment. At the same time, in order to ensure the normal use of the meter, we also installed the IC card reading slot as the second recharge channel for users, which will not affect the normal use in the case of poor communication.
 
5)Historical data saving function 
The meter keeps the data of user meter every day for 12 months.
 
6)Remote data reading and on-off valve
It can read the status information of the user's meter and control the status of the meter's valve through the background of the management system of the gas company. It can set the function of regularly uploading the data. When the internal clock of the meter runs to the specified time, it will upload the relevant information of the meter;
 
7)Card free prepaid recharge function
It can be recharged in the form of no card prepayment at the gas meter end, such as APP, Alipay WeChat, online business hall, online banking and other online recharge methods.
 
8)Step gas price function
The gas price of the Internet of things gas meter can be divided into four grades according to the gas consumption, and the time price parameters can be set. The step pricing function can be realized according to the user's consumption of each natural month or multiple natural months. The gas meter will settle according to the rules of the step price, and display the current step consumption, price, remaining amount and other parameters.
 
9)Fault tolerance mechanism of data upload on time
If the data is not uploaded successfully at one time, the meter will wait for a period of time and try to send the data again.
 
10)Network timing of high precision clock chip
The hardware clock with an accuracy of ± 5ppm is used inside the meter to ensure that the accumulated clock error of the whole year does not exceed 10min. In addition, the meter will carry out network timing when logging in the system every time, so as to ensure that the clock of each meter is accurate without any deviation.
 
11)Data protection and security
The data can be saved for a long time, free from external interference, low voltage, power failure, battery replacement and other conditions, and the data adopts 64 bit dynamic encryption (DES) to ensure the safety and reliability of the data.
 
12)Fault self diagnosis and alarm prompt function
For the IOT gas meter equipped with LCD screen, the corresponding dislocation code display and buzzer alarm prompt can be used in different states, and the detected gas meter fault and user's illegal operation can be self protected.
 
Alarm prompt function
1) When the voltage of the external battery is insufficient, "change battery" is displayed;
2) When the remaining gas volume is less than 3m3 (this value can be set), the buzzer will give an alarm when the gas consumption is 0.1m3, and "please pay" will be displayed when pressing "query";
3) When the remaining gas reaches the set value, the control valve will be closed to prompt;
4) When the remaining air volume is 0, close the valve and stop the air supply.

 Fault detection and protection function
1) Power supply undervoltage protection: when the power supply voltage is detected to be lower than the specified value, the gas meter will immediately close the control valve, cut off the gas supply, stop the electronic counting, and record the occurrence time of power supply undervoltage;
2) External magnetic field attack protection: when the counting function of the gas meter is affected by the external magnetic field attack, the gas meter will immediately close the control valve, cut off the gas supply and stop the electronic counting, and record the occurrence time of the external magnetic field;
3) When the gas meter detects that there is a card reading error, the LCD displays "abnormal card reading" and displays corresponding codes according to different situations.
